One of the biggest rumours that is shocking the trade circles in recent times is that both of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s movies, Kaaka and Vishwambhara, are likely to hit the cinemas around the same time. Though Kaaka’s producer gave clarity that it’s only their film that will be releasing on Sankranthi eve, insiders have a different tale to tell.

Apparently, Vishwambhara has been in the post-production stage for almost 3 years, as the film’s mediocre VFX were showcased in the first trailer, which led to huge criticism. Finally, the final version of the film is ready. At the same time, riding high on the success of Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu early this year on Sankranthi eve, Chiranjeevi planned Kaaka for next Sankranthi. But then, as an OTT platform that acquired Vishwambhara laid conditions to release Vishwambhara in the holiday season, it has now created a clash between these two films to make it to the Sankranthi 2027 box office. So who will come then?

While Vishwmbhara is ready, MM Keeravani is said to have walked out of background score work as he got busy with Rajamouli’s Varanasi, and that job is being done by Hari Gowra now. If the film gets ready, then Chiranjeevi will watch the final copy to fix the release date, anywhere from December to March. At the same time, Kaaka has almost 30% shoot left, and it has to be wrapped fast if it has to hit cinemas on January 10th or 11th as planned.

Currently the odds of both the films getting ready is very clear, but which will release first, is something in Chiranjeevi’s hands only.
