Who Is Going To Get 'Kalki 2898 AD' Rights?

Amazon Prime Video has organized a grand video recently and revealed their upcoming releases for the next year or so. This includes original content, web series and big-budget movies which will be streamed post-theatrical release. Not just Prime Video but Netflix did the same too during the start of this year. NTR, Ram Charan, Bunny, Pawan Kalyan and all other big hero movies were covered by these two platforms except 'Kalki 2898 AD'.

This magnum opus science fiction film is expected to hit the screens on 9th May. Though there are whispers regarding the movie's postponement due to elections, Vyjayanthi Movies are yet to announce its decision. Even fans agree that it is the right decision to delay the release. Also, the OTT deal is yet to be locked for this gigantic flick. Sources say that none of the proposals made by the platforms matched the producer's desired figure.

Insiders report that Prime Video gave 105 crores to 'Game Changer' OTT rights in all languages except Hindi. There is a talk that the first part of 'Devara' was sold for 80 crores. If this news turns out to be true, 'Kalki' is expected to start from 150 crores as Prabhas' market is all across the nation. Also, this film has big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and Deepika Padukone playing key roles.

Apparently, Prime and Netflix are the frontrunners in this race but there is a chance Disney + Hotstar will buy the OTT rights of 'Kalki 2898 AD' as well. As we know, they are joining hands with Ambani's Jio soon. Nag Ashwin is currently busy with post-productional activities. The promotional activities are being planned on a grand scale and sources claim that there is still a lot of work left to do.
