'Kalki 2898 AD' To Maintain Gap Between Theatrical & OTT Release!

Darling Prabhas' magnum opus 'Kalki 2898 AD' is all set to hit the screens on 27th June. The ticket prizes are hiked officially in the Telugu states and the advance bookings will be opened soon. Also, the pre-sales in the overseas market are fantastic and the theatrical rights of the film has been sold worldwide for 385 crores. The non-theatrical rights were sold for record rates.

The two trailers, the promotional song and the pre-release press meet in Mumbai along with the other videos have generated a huge buzz already. The theme song of 'Kalki 2898 AD' will be released today on the steps of Mathura as well. The special interview with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika, Prabhas, producers Priyanka and Swapna Dutt will also be coming out today.

The latest we hear is that Amazon Prime Video bought the OTT streaming rights in all the languages except Hindi while Netflix bought the Hindi streaming rights. As per reports, the team made an agreement that 8 weeks gap should be maintained between theatrical and OTT release irrespective of its box office result. This leads to the audience getting ample time to have the theatrical experience of such a huge project. Many people are lauding this decision by the makers as we are seeing a lot of movies arrive within 2-3 weeks of its theatrical release.
