Though his career started on a hit with movies like Athanokkade in the beginning and then with the likes of Pataas later, somehow Nandamuri Kalyanram went out of sync for a while, as his films failed to excite anyone. Though the content he chose is always strong and exciting, it didn’t pay off at the box office. But his next is a multi-starrer with Venkatesh Daggubati, which is being directed by Anil Ravipudi. It’s definitely sure that Anil Ravipudi is mostly to give a first ₹200-300 crores revenue-getter for Kalyan Ram through this movie. Already, he has given a couple of such films for Venkatesh in recent times. That too as ‘January 13 Vidudala’ hits cinemas on Sankranthi eve, the kind of entertainment Ravipudi creates is likely going to hit the ball out of the park. Keeping that in mind, Kalyan Ram, however, doesn’t want to do any big-budget film after that. That’s why he locked a medium-budget movie.

Choosing a director who is known for doing mid-range movies, Kalyan Ram is said to have locked a simple movie, which will be announced towards the end of the year. Once the shooting of Anil Ravipudi’s film gets wrapped, and the promotions start, then Kalyan Ram will be announcing about his next, say reports. That’s an interesting plan for sure.
