Senior Star Hero Decides To A Break From 'Bigg Boss'!

Bigg Boss is one of the most successful reality television shows in India and it is going on for years in many languages. The Hindi version has crossed a decade and it ventured into OTT platforms too. Similarly, the OTT version for Telugu Bigg Boss was also done. It successfully completed 7 seasons and it was quite a huge success.

It is equally popular in Tamil too and it is being hosted by none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. He carried the show wonderfully and had a unique way of doing it. He became synonymous with Bigg Boss. But he decided to take a break from the popular reality show this season. He took to social media and announced it through a formal statement.

He said, “With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I'm unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil. I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude.”

He added, “Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India. Personally, being your host has been an enriching association, where I have honestly shared my learnings. I will always be grateful for this learning experience. I sincerely thank each one of you and the contestants in the show for our time together.”

He thanked Vijay TV for the opportunity and it will be interesting to see who takes his place. Currently, Kamal is working on 'Indian 3' and 'Thug Life' too. They are being made on grand budgets and the release dates are finalized as well. So, Kamal has no time for the reality show as of now.
