Universal hero Kamal Haasan and Shankar's 'Indian 2' is one of the biggest projects arriving this year. It is hitting the screens on 12th July and the glimpse was released months ago. Despite the release date approaching quick and fast, the hype on this movie is not that high. The makers organized a grand audio launch in Chennai and hoped that it would generate more buzz.

The songs composed by Anirudh Ravichander became trending initially but the hype faded away quickly. It is well-known that the young music sensation replaced maestro AR Rahman who gave evergreen songs in the first part. There are comments that Anirudh has not matched ARR's level with 'Indian 2' songs. Anirudh is the most popular composer in the South right now. His music worked wonders for films like 'Vikram', 'Jailer', 'Jawan' and many more.

The Telugu dubbing rights are apparently not going for huge rates according to Chennai trade circles. Considering Lyca's connections, the movie will be sold for a decent rate but the movie is certainly not generating enough buzz. Telugu fans are hoping that Kamal's cameo in 'Kalki 2898 AD' will give a boost to the business of 'Indian 2'.

Also, Shankar making it clear that 'Indian 2' will not have Kajal Agarwal and insiders revealing that Siddharth will be the major character in this part are also impacting the audience a lot. 'Indian 3' will be made and it is expected to showcase more of the iconic Senapathi character. Shankar's brand will bring the audience to theatres but he needs to deliver a big hit as well in order to safeguard his craze. On the other hand, Mega fans are worried that 'Indian 2' result might affect the box office prospects of 'Game Changer'. Let us wait and see what happens.
