Kantara Chapter 1 sets new benchmark on the first day

National award winning actor Rishab Shetty has written and directed Kantara in 2022 and it became a Pan-India blockbuster. He took three years to craft magnum opus prequel, Kantara Chapter 1 and the movie debuted with mind-blowing positive reception at the box office.

Being a holiday release on Dusshera, family audiences, youth and all sections have queued to theatres playing the film, worldwide. Hence, it collected Rs.89 crores+ gross worldwide on the first day, becoming second highest opening day ever for a Kannada film, behind KGF Chapter 2.

The film has also sold a record breaking 1.28 Million tickets on BMS for the first day.

Mythri Movie Makers have released the movie in Telugu and on second day, the movie is trending on top with 75k tickets being booked per hour. Trade analysts are predicting huge weekend for the film as the talk is super positive and audiences are rushing to theatres to witness the divine blockbuster.
