Kantara Franchise in Trouble?

The movie Kantara became a huge success across India. After the first part became a blockbuster, the prequel also received a great response. Because of this, the demand for the Kantara franchise increased a lot.

However, recent reports suggest that there may not be another film in the Kantara series anytime soon. This news has surprised many fans. The main reason being discussed is the working style of actor and director Rishab Shetty.

After the massive success of Kantara Chapter 1, it is said that Rishab Shetty has increased his remuneration significantly. Reports say he is now charging around ₹60 crore per film. Along with this, there are also talks that he wants his wife to be involved as a co-producer in his upcoming projects.

On the other hand, the production house Hombale Films is known to be very strict about its policies. The company does not usually allow outside involvement when it comes to production rights and financial decisions. The producers, including the Vijay Kiragandur family, prefer to maintain full control over their projects.

Because of these differences, it is being said that the Kantara franchise has been paused for now. Sources claim that if Rishab Shetty approaches the production house again in the future, they may reconsider continuing the project.

In recent times, Rishab Shetty has also been in the news for various controversies. With the rumors about the sequel not happening, discussions have become even stronger on social media. At present, Rishab Shetty is busy working on his new project Jai Hanuman.
