Indian cinema is currently witnessing the phenomenal run of Dhurandhar as both parts of the film are cumulatively collecting over ₹3000 crore at the global box office. But it appears that people are of the opinion that this blockbuster success is not attributed to the hero, Ranveer Singh.

Actor Kareena Kapoor clarified that Dhurandhar should not be seen as a Ranveer Singh led project in any sense. According to her, the film belongs entirely to its director and vision.

She emphasized that even within the industry, the project is being referred to as Aditya Dhar’s film, not a star vehicle. Dhurandhar is not a Ranveer Singh film in any way. It is very much a director’s film. Even today, when the film is being referred to, it is being called Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, she said.

Her statement underlines the creative ownership of filmmaker Aditya Dhar, suggesting that the narrative, treatment, and storytelling carry the director’s signature rather than revolving around star power.

The fact that this comment comes from not a commoner or a film critic, but a Bollywood film superstar herself is an education of the kind of public perception that is reflecting on Adithya Dhar directorial.

But whatever might be the reason, a film is always going to be a collective output of a group of technicians and actors. This is a hard fact that must be approved and astrology by everyone, and there is no debating the same.
