More than Kamal Haasan's fans, it is Ram Charan fans who eagerly waited to see 'Bharateeyudu 2'. As we know, Shankar directed both these projects simultaneously and fans wanted to see if he managed to pull off two pan-Indian films at the same time or not. With Shankar's graph gradually dipping, the fans wanted to see if the legendary filmmaker still had it in him.

'Indian 2' was released on a grand scale and most of the critics made it clear that it is the weakest work of Shankar till date. Shankar had some failures which included 'Boys' and 'I' while '2.0' did not meet expectations. But all those films had Shankar's mark in them. We can see his brilliance in a lot of scenes. But it is not the cast with 'Indian 2'. People who grew up watching his films and getting inspired by them will find it tough to realize that he is the one who made such a lackluster movie.

Shankar himself sabotaged the iconic Senapathi character in 'Indian 2' which surprised everyone. Also, there is a recurring pattern in Shankar's films lately. The main character kills bad men one after the other in different ways. We saw it in 'Aparichitudu', 'I' and '2.0'. 'Indian 2' follows the same path once again. All of this is making Ram Charan fans get worried about 'Game Changer'.

Charan spent more than 2 years on this film and it is his immediate film after 'RRR'. While Rajamouli's curse is already worrying them, the recent form of Shankar is giving them sleepless nights. While the presentation and grandeur are still intact, Shankar has lost his magic in penning emotional scenes that connect with the audience. A lot of Tamil people suggest that Shankar's problems started when his trusted writer Sujatha passed away. Shankar is writing his own stories since then and it is where the problem started according to many.

But it is Karthik Subbaraj who penned the story of 'Game Changer'. The young writer-director is known for his films like 'Jigarthanda', 'Jigarthanda 2', 'Petta', 'Pizza' and 'Mahaan'. He stories are always unique and Shankar is still a great filmmaker who can do wonders if he has a strong story. Fans hope that Karthik Subbaraj's story is solid enough for 'Game Changer' to be successful.
