Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise is creating strong interest among movie lovers. The film, directed by Srikanth Odela, is set to arrive in theatres on September 24. Ahead of the release, actress Kayadu Lohar has spoken about her role, the shooting experience and working with the director and Nani.
Kayadu plays the character of Subbalakshmi, who is fondly called Subbu. She said that this is a very different role compared to the characters she has played earlier. She described Subbu as a challenging and risky character with several unexpected shades.
The actress also revealed that her character has its own journey in the story. She said that heroine roles in regular commercial films may not always have much depth, but The Paradise gives her character more importance. Subbu reportedly goes through several situations that add a separate layer to the story.
Kayadu also praised director Srikanth Odela. She described him as a very different filmmaker with an unusual way of thinking. According to her, working with him was one of the biggest challenges during the shooting. She said that he gave her several challenges on the sets and pushed her to explore the character in a different way.
The actress revealed that she spent nearly a year working on The Paradise. Shooting took place regularly over several months, and she believes the effort put in by the entire team will be visible on the big screen.
Kayadu also spoke about her attempt to dub for the character herself. She tried to deliver her own dialogues, and Srikanth Odela encouraged her. However, speaking in the Telangana slang proved difficult for her, so she could not complete the dubbing herself.
She also praised Nani for confidently carrying his unusual two-braids look in the film. Kayadu said that Nani’s look has already attracted attention among audiences.
The actress believes The Paradise should be experienced on the big screen. She praised the performances, story and Anirudh Ravichander’s music, saying that the combination is expected to give audiences an intense cinematic experience.
