Is Kayadu Lohar Assamese or Nepali?

Kayadu Lohar is a young Indian actress who is getting popular day by day. She works in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies. The actress was born on 11 April 2000 in Tezpur Assam India. Even though she was born in Assam her life story is connected to different places.

In a recent interview, Kayadu Lohar was asked if she is Assamese or Nepali. She said, “I am Nepali. But was born in Pune and speaks Nepali. My great grandfathers moved to Assam many years ago. Because of that my whole family lived in Assam for a long time. Later my parents moved to Pune for work. So I was born and raised in Pune.” Meanwhile she also shared that she still feels that her hometown is Assam.

Kayadu Lohar started her career in a very interesting way. She first took part in a jewellery pageant contest and later she won the Times of India Everyuth Fresh Face Season 12. This gave her a good start and opened doors for her in the film industry.

She made her acting debut with the Kannada movie Mugilpete in 2021. After that she entered Malayalam cinema with Pathonpatham Noottandu in 2022. In the same year, she also acted in her first Telugu movie Alluri. She did not stop there. In 2023 she worked in a Marathi movie named I Prem U. Her big breakthrough came with the Tamil movie Dragon in 2025.

Kayadu Lohar is now working on many new projects. Some of her upcoming movies include Thaaram Idhayam Murali and other films in different languages. She is also expected to act opposite Silambarasan in a new Tamil movie.
