Talk: Kayadu Lohar’s Attitude On Debut Films

The most important aspect around a film’s release is none other than the promotion of the movie. Only films that are aggressively promoted will actually get grand openings most of the time. Except for Superstars, for everyone else, promotions are the need of the hour always. However, some actors and actresses, even after acting in a movie, conveniently forget that.

Kayadu Lohar is one of the popular young sirens right now; the Assam-origin, Pune-based actress is now part of upcoming biggies like Nani’s The Paradise. Guess what, she somehow made her debut in Telugu and Tamil long back, but she hasn’t promoted those films. She hasn’t promoted her debut Telugu film, Sreevishnu’s Alluri, and now isn’t promoting her debut Tamil movie, GV Prakash’s Immortal. While Immortal got delayed, the film clashed with Dulquer Salman’s I’m Game movie, which released on the same day. While Kayadu promoted Dulquer’s film, she didn’t promote her debut Tamil flick.

Well, Kayadu might have her own reasons for not promoting these debut films, but then, if actresses don’t get involved in the promotion of the movie, surely the openings don’t do justice. On the flip side, both Immortal and I’m Game got poor reviews other day, and Kayadu’s characters are almost negligible.
