A Cigarette Is A Cigarette, Says Kayadu Lohar

One of the most surprising posters that came from “The Paradise” in recent times is that of heroine Kayadu Lohar and hero Nani smoking cigarettes. They both could be seen lighting a cigarette from the same lighter, and that led to some discussion. Here comes Kayadu Lohar now, shedding more light on the same.

“It made a lot more sense for my character to smoke in the film. The character Subbu is a smoker, and it’s very difficult to act like smoking, and throughout the film I got comfortable with smoking and did it. But in real life I don’t smoke,” says Kayadu Lohar, as she promoted “The Paradise” through special interviews. So people who have seen Kayadu Lohar in bubbly roles all these days will be seeing her in a new and different role now. Is she playing a bold role or a negative role?

“To think that if a girl smokes, then she’s a bold character or a negative character is wrong”, she further adds, clarifying that having curiosity about her character, Subbu in The Paradise, is fine, but then all the regularly expected tropes might not come true. As “The Paradise” is hitting cinemas on September 24th, Kayadu Lohar is expecting to have another hit film in her kitty.
