To play Savitri, she put on extra weight to suit the character and the changes shown in her life. Even after shooting wrapped, she stayed heavier for some time. �I would go to shoot, come home, eat, and sleep. That made me gain more weight,� she said. Later, realising the lifestyle was not good for her health, she decided to work on herself and lost around 8 to 9 kilos in nine months.
She explained that her transformation was not from extreme diets. �I do cardio for at least an hour a day and follow a normal diet. No crash diets � just food planned for my routine,� Keerthy shared. Her cardio routine includes walking, jogging, cycling, and swimming, which she says helped tone her legs, chest, and back. The change in her appearance has drawn attention online, with fans appreciating her effort and many finding inspiration in her discipline.
Over the years, Keerthy has acted in films like Nenu Local, Miss India, Good Luck Sakhi, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Rang De. She keeps working on back-to-back projects without worrying much about box office results. Her recent film Uppu Kapparambu was a success and added to her list of crowd-pleasers.
Keerthy, who got married last year, is still keeping up a busy shooting schedule. There are reports that she might take on a bold role as a prostitute in an upcoming film, but nothing has been confirmed yet. For now, her weight loss journey and packed work calendar are keeping her name in the headlines.
