There is no debating the fact that sequel for Khaithi is one of the most anticipated films in South Indian cinema, considering the kind of masterful theatrical experience that the first part gave.

However, the latest development are suggesting that the hero of the film Karthi himself does not have a clue on whether this project is actually happening or not. This happened when the Tamil Hero came to Hyderabad to promote his upcoming film, and he was asked about this sequel.

Immediately, after this question, the talented Tamil hero Karthi pointed out that he does not have an idea on whether or not this film is happening.

This primarily comes from the fact that the sequel has been in the news and discussion for a really long time now, but Director Lokesh Kanagaraj kept himself occupied with other films.

It must be noted that this film was supposed to happen two years ago itself, but Lokesh kept himself busy with films like Coolie and Leo. Now it has reached a point where the hero of the film himself does not have an idea on whether or when this film would actually be happening.

This was not what was expected from an anticipated sequel that had so much going its way, and it appears that the extreme delay in the production has resulted in this scenario.

It needs to be seen if Lokesh would be able to make good with Hero Karthi and potentially materialise this project, considering that he has no other commitments at hand for the time being.
