The decision taken by the producers of Kollywood became a hot topic in the industry. The Tamil Film Producers Council has laid some new rules which are shocking to everyone. They have made an official announcement that any film from a big hero film needs to maintain an 8-week gap between the theatrical and OTT releases.

They ordered not to start any new shootings after 16th August and ongoing shootings have to be wrapped up by 31st October. They have decided not to shoot for any projects from 1st November. The multiplex owners, theatre owners, distributors, buyers and everyone were part of this meeting. A few heroes who took advances from the producers are not giving call sheets and creating trouble. They issued a red card to star hero Dhanush regarding this. A lot of films are stuck in the labs despite being completed and they decided not to have any other films released before these come out.

The council is getting ready to take actions on actors who are increasing their remunerations thereby becoming a burden on the producers. As all these actions take time, they decided to give the above-mentioned deadlines. It gives a solution to the selfish act of some producers and actors who are making unreasonable deals with OTT platforms without looking at other departments. It is a bold step and if it becomes successful, we may see these rules arriving in other film industries too.
