Komalee Prasad Poses An Important Question At Press Meet!
Not many question this norm in the film industry but actress Komalee Prasad questioned it recently.
When we see love stories across the languages, it is usually the boy who gets his heart broken and sings sad songs. Very rarely do we see breakup songs from women's point-of-view. Also, there are a lot of stories written on how men get deceived by women and get their hearts broken. Not many question this norm in the film industry but actress Komalee Prasad questioned it recently.
She asked why is that the girls are always the ones who break the hearts of boys and leave them. She added that she knows at least five girls in her circle who were heartbroken because of boys. She said it is wrong to show only the side of boys and quipped that this is the reason why there is a need for female directors in the industry.
Komalee said that getting deceived or deceiving others is gender-neutral. The person is either good or bad and not just girls. She says that she believes in love and it is the only religion she trusts as she doesn't pray to any other god. She claimed that she is a one-man woman who stays with the person who stays with that person through thick and thin. Apparently, her character in 'Sashivadane' is similar to her real-life character.
