The recently unveiled trailer of the series offers unseen glimpses into Veerappan's life. It showcases discussions about the bandit's mysterious personality and unveils various anecdotes surrounding him.
"Koose Munisamy Veerappan" is crafted by Jeyachandra Hashmi, Prabhavathi RV, and Vasanth Balakrishnan. The series will feature speakers such as Nakkheeran Gopal, Seeman, N Ram, Pa Pa Mohan, Subbu alias Subramanyan, Alexander IPS, Rohini, Jeeva Thangavel, Mohan Kumar, and Dhamayanthi.
Scheduled for streaming on Zee5 from December 8, the documentary aims to explore Veerappan's life through never-seen-before video footage. Viewers will gain insights from well-known personalities and different perspectives on various events.
Veerappan, a bandit, poacher, smuggler, and domestic terrorist, gained notoriety for kidnapping politicians and seeking ransom. Accused of smuggling sandalwood and poaching elephants across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, he was wanted for the deaths of approximately 184 individuals, primarily forest officials and police officers. His criminal record included the poaching of about 2,000 elephants and smuggling ivory valued at Rs 16 crore.
