Koratala Under-Estimated Anirudh!

Devara: Part 1 has emerged as one of the biggest Tollywood hits of 2024, featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, under the direction of Koratala Siva. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director of the film. The team is happy with the work he did and Koratala Siva recently revealed how he under-estimated the capability of Anirudh.

"I used to think Anirudh was a young boy capable of creating good music but not mature enough to understand the depth of a story, Devara. But, after the narration, he designed the sound for the first song, and I liked it very much. Then, I sat with him. Anirudh is very much aligned with the story. It is when I believed that we need not chase Anirudh for music and that he will do justice for me by bringing that fear factor with the sound. The way he delivered the Fear thing with English lyrics is extremely engaging," said Koratala Siva.

"Initially, he composed a song and we wanted to go ahead and shoot but then he called us back and said let us not do the song and then came up with Ayudha Pooja song," said Siva.

Director Siva Koratala was asked about the possibility of extending the series to a third installment. He quickly dismissed the idea, stating, “I never intended for this to become a franchise. I usually prefer telling a story within one film," he said.
