Koratala Siva Taking Inspiration From Horrific True Event For 'Devara'?
Apparently, he based 'Devara' on the Karamchedu massacre that happened in United Andhra Pradesh back in 1985.
'Devara' is undoubtedly the most awaited film in Tollywood right now. After 'Kalki 2898 AD', none of the noted films impressed the audience barring Nani's film. 'Devara' featuring NTR in the title role is expected to be a mass feast. Touted as an intense action saga, star writer-director Koratala Siva seems to have gone all out for this movie. It is hitting the screens worldwide on 27th September.
The promotions are already in full swing. The short glimpse, The Fear Song and the Chuttamalle song have gotten a terrific response. The two songs have become chartbusters in all languages and people are eagerly waiting to witness this gigantic movie on the big screens. The team recently released a poster revealing 'The Faces of Fear'. We can see the two looks of NTR in this movie. The poster created room for a lot of speculations and some say that NTR will be seen in a dual role.
Keeping it aside, insiders claim that Koratala Siva has reportedly gotten inspired by a horrific real-life incident. Apparently, he based 'Devara' on the Karamchedu massacre that happened in United Andhra Pradesh back in 1985. For people who don't know, it is a violent killing committed by high-caste people towards the Dalit community which led to their mass killing. It left a deep scar in Telugu history.
Though this news is not official, the fans are getting curious to know if it is true or not. Saif Ali Khan is the villain while Anirudh is the music composer. Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko are playing important roles in this movie. Kalyan Ram is presenting this movie under 'NTR Arts' while Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna are the producers.
