'Krishanmma' Already On OTT! Why?

Talented hero Satyadev's recent action drama 'Krishnamma' was released last week with a decent buzz around it. The hero promoted it well and a lot of big directors came to the trailer launch as well. This rustic film was presented by star writer-director Koratala Siva while his close friend Krishna produced it. The movie got a mixed response from critics and the public alike.

The collections were not that great but what's surprising is the fact that 'Krishnamma' is already streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Being available on OTT just after a week of its theatrical release is quite astonishing. Going into the details, the movie was made on a budget of 7 crores and a streaming platform offered 8 crores for the non-theatrical rights. All this happened before 'Acharya' was released.

Apparently, Koratala Siva asked for 12 crores and the OTT platform walked away from the deal. But the star director's brand value reduced drastically once 'Acharya' came out. The movie was delayed for a long time before it was released last week. The non-theatrical rights were apparently sold for 3 crores which was way less than what was offered before.

Mythri Movie Makers and PrimeShow Entertainment released the movie in theatres. As per reports, Amazon Prime Video has doubled down on the release date before signing the deal. This way 'Krishamma' is now on OTT within in less than a week of its theatrical release. Movie lovers are quite stunned by it.
