Kalki 2898 AD is a fascinating mix of futuristic themes and the Mahabharata. Directed by the young filmmaker Nag Ashwin, the movie features cutting-edge visuals that set a new benchmark for Indian cinema. With notable cameos from Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, and Dulquer Salmaan, the character of Lord Krishna remained a mystery until the film's release.

However, it was Tamil actor Krishna Kumar, also known as KK, who played the role. KK, a theater actor and trainer known for his work in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam films, delivered a memorable performance despite his face not being shown in the film. Set in the dystopian city of Kashi, the film follows Bhairava (played by Prabhas), a bounty hunter aiming to reach the Complex ruled by Supreme Yaskin. The plot intensifies with the introduction of Ashwattama, who is on a quest to find SUM 80 and her child. Bhairava’s mission to capture SUM 80 leads to encounters with Ashwattama and other formidable foes.
The film boasts a stellar cast, including Prabhas as Bhairava, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwattama, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, and Deepika Padukone as SUM-80.
