Sometimes being famous takes you to places you never thought you’d be, and Kriti Sanon just proved that. The Bollywood actress became the first Indian actress to speak at the World Health Summit 2025 in Berlin.

At the session “Women’s Health – Global Wealth,” Kriti highlighted a gap that’s hard to ignore. Women make up nearly half the world, but investments in their health are tiny compared to the returns. She pointed out that $300 million invested could generate $13 billion. “It’s not just moral, it’s smart,” she said. The way she explained it made it feel obvious: healthy women mean healthier families, communities, and economies.

She also talked about “Nothing about her, without her,” stressing that women should have a say in decisions about their health. Drawing on her work as UNFPA India’s Honorary Ambassador for Gender Equality, Kriti mentioned child marriage, poor maternal care, and obstacles women face getting proper healthcare. It wasn’t a rehearsed speech, it felt like she was genuinely speaking from experience, trying to push for action, not applause.

Even with Berlin behind her, Kriti’s attention is on her next film, Tere Ishk Mein, with Dhanush, releasing November 28. From her debut in Heropanti to winning awards for Mimi, she’s shown she can handle stardom and advocacy at the same time. She runs a clothing line, endorses brands, and now she’s making her voice count off-screen too. It’s a reminder that sometimes stars shine brightest when they step into real-world conversations.
