People loved her emotional performance in the movie and she received a National Award for 'Mimi'.

In an interview with News18, she talked about becoming a director. She revealed, "I love being in front of the camera a lot. A director's job is far more difficult and you have to stay with that one project for a very long time. I don't think I can do that." It was 'Mimi' director Laxman Utekar who said that she could direct a film in the future. She responsed, "Laxman (Utekar) sir would tell me that I would direct someday but I used to keep telling him that I'm happy just being an actor. As of now, I'm tapping into the creative side of me as a producer."

As we know, Kriti turned into a producer and made 'Do Patti'. Interestingly, Kriti Sanon was even involved in the scripting process too along with writer Kanika Dhillon. Talking about music sittings for the film, she stated, "I love music in general and I loved being involved as a producer who jams with music composers and figuring what sounds right for the film. I felt like a baby who has started and has so much to learn."

The production work of 'Do Patti' was wrapped up in December and Kriti posted a bunch of clicks and videos from the sets and wrote an emotional note thanking each and everyone who worked on the movie. Kriti Sanon was last seen in 'Ganapath' which was released a week before and she is working on a romantic film with Shahid Kapoor. The movie is yet to be titled. She is also doing a movie with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Diljit Dosanjh. Kriti is finding it hard to get success in recent times as most of her films like 'Shehzada', 'Ganapath', 'Bachchan Pandey' and others failed at the box office.
