Lucifer is planned as three part even before the Baahubali : Prithviraj Sukumaran
Prithviraj confirmed that the Lucifer franchise was always planned as a trilogy, even before the success of the Baahubali series.;

Director Prithviraj Sukumaran has hinted that L2: Empuraan might include a post credit scene encouraging fans to stay until the end credits. During a recent promotional event, he mentioned that unlike its predecessor Lucifer (2019) which only teased its sequel during the credits Empuraan might go a step further.
Prithviraj confirmed that the Lucifer franchise was always planned as a trilogy, even before the success of the Baahubali series. While the first film was complete on its own, the sequel was intentionally crafted to pave the way for a third part. According to him, the surprise twist in L2: Empuraan makes a third film essential.
At a promotional event, he said, "I planned Lucifer as a three part series even before the Baahubali series. When part 1 was released we already had the idea of a trilogy. However, if we had announced three parts back then, the concepts of cinematic universes and franchises weren't widely known. Also we concluded Lucifer in a way that didn't necessarily require a sequel. But in part 2, we have a surprise that makes part 3 essential.”
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the film's release on March 27 curious to see if a full-fledged post credit scene will appear or if it will simply tease the third part.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran and Manju Warrier alongside international actors like Eriq Ebouaney, Jerome Flynn and Mikhail Novikov.
