No Chance For Empuraan Remake In Tollywood?

Malayalam Cinema is greatly anticipating the arrival of one of its most anticipated films ever, L2E Empuraan. This film is prepared for release on March 27, and the promotional campaign is underway now.

However, there is one crucial aspect about this film that is leading to several discussions now, and it is the prospect of remaking the film in Telugu at a later point in time.

Earlier megastar Chiranjeevi remade the first part, Lucifer in Telugu and it was titled Godfather. The film was a decent hit in Telugu but not quite on the range of Lucifer, which was a rage in Malayalam.

Coming to the idea of the Telugu remake of the sequel now this looks extremely unlikely. There is no way that Chiranjeevi would approve the idea of him being a part of the sequel of a film that he had earlier remade himself.

Not once in the history has a film and its sequel being remade in another language. Another point to be noted, here is that the first film did not pay off for Chiranjeevi as expected either. It was just a decent hit and not a blockbuster.

Adding to this conversation, Mohanlal, who is playing the main role in Empuraan made an interesting comment. The legendary Malayalam actor remarked that he had watched godfather earlier and was of the opinion that there is little scope for the sequel to be made in Telugu again.

The reason behind this is that a couple of crucial characters that are a part of Lucifer were excluded in the Telugu remake, and these characters happen to play crucial role in the sequel now. So there is no fundamental foundation for the remake of Empuraan in Telugu.
