Why Is 'Lal Salaam' Getting Ignored?

Superstar Rajnikanth is a man that needs zero introduction. He is a brand whose value never goes down. His charm, ultimate style and swagger is enough for the audience to go bonkers in theatres. He doesn't sport six pack, he is not handsome, he is not a good dancer and he is not on level with other legends when it comes to acting. But he has something special in him and it is what made him the superstar he is. Even in his seventies, everyone are dying to see him on the big screen.
As we know, his 'Jailer' minted over 600 crores at the box office and one of Kollywood's biggest hits. One would expect his next film to have tremendous openings. 'Lal Salaam' is releasing in Tamil and Telugu on 9th February. Sadly, not many know about this film and it is hitting the screens with zero buzz.
The trailer which arrived on Wednesday had zero buzz and the makers have not organised any kind of event in Chennai. As we know, it is not an out-and-out Rajnikanth film as the superstar will be playing a pivotal role in 'Lal Salaam' which is directed by his daughter Aishwarya. Despite that, having Rajnikanth in your movie needs to be enough for opening to packed crowds.
Especially, we have seen the euphoria in theatres for 'Jailer'. There are no expectations on 'Lal Salaam' and we can see the openings and bookings of the film in Telugu states. The same is the situation in Tamil Nadu as well. Let us see if the situation changes after the movie releases or not.
