Additionally, the speculation that 'Leo' is part of the LCu (Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe) and has connections to blockbusters like 'Khaidi' and 'Vikram' has piqued even more curiosity.
The movie is scheduled for a grand release on October 19. In the meantime, a popular Indian box office tracker, reported that 'Leo' has already achieved a pre-release gross collection of Rs 100 crore worldwide for its opening weekend. Source also revealed that 1 million tickets for the movie's opening day in India have already been sold.
Meanwhile, trade analyst Ramesh Bala mentioned that 'Leo' has even surpassed the Day 1 earnings of 'KGF-2' (Rs 7.25 crore) in pre-sales in Kerala, making it likely to be the top-grossing film on its opening day there.
Bala also mentioned that 'Leo' has crossed $1 million in pre-sales in the UAE-GCC region. The immense hype surrounding this film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Thalapathy Vijay, is breaking records overseas even before its release. 'Leo' is poised to create an all-time record for the opening day, not only in Kerala but also for Indian cinema as a whole this year.
