Did 'Leo' Manage To Reach The Expectations?

Thalapathy Vijay's intense action drama 'Leo' has hit the screens worldwide amidst huge hype and expectations. The movie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Anirudh composed the music for it. Having big names like Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja and others generated a lot of buzz right from the beginning. Knowing Vijay's craze and Lokesh's track record, the movie was expected to open to huge numbers and it did as well.

But did the movie reach those expectations? Many say that it fell short as people expected another 'Vikram' from Lokesh Kanagaraj but that did not happen. People who went into the movie hoping for a feast were left a bit disappointed as the hero elevations did not give the high and the tight screenplay evident in Lokesh's 'Vikram' and 'Khaidi' went missing. Also, the story is reportedly not as strong as his previous works.

Also, the Hyena scene and much-hyped action scenes did not fire as expected. The graphic work too left the audience in dismay during action sequences. While Vijay showcased his acting skills, it was not what people wanted to see. Also, many claim that 'Leo' was forcefully included into the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Though 'Leo' is not a bad film, people state that it is not what everyone expected it to be. While the craze over the project guarantees packed crowds for the weekend, we need to see what happens after that.
