Lokesh Kanagaraj who turned into a star director in Kollywood just with a few films has earned a huge fanbase. Movies like 'Khaidi', 'Master' and 'Vikram' showcase his potential and he created a separate universe named 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' where his own film characters team up when needed. He is working on 'Leo' with Thalapathy Vijay now and we need to see if it is a part of LCU or not.

Keeping it aside, there was a mixed reaction on the theatrical trailer of 'Leo'. While some experts say that Lokesh is highly inspired by 'A History of Violence', there are others who claim that the trailer failed to pack a punch. Also, there are some shots in the trailer where that instantly remind people of 'Vikram'. There is a shot where Kamal sits on a chair with his grandson in his lap. Similarly, we can see Vijay sitting on a chair in front of the fire cabinet while her daughter is sleeping in his lap.

Due to these similarities, fans are curious to know if there is any connection or not. 'Leo' is an intense action drama featuring Vijay in the title role while Trisha is the female lead. Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Sarja are playing negative roles while there are many other top actors who are doing key roles. Lokesh Kanagaraj is the writer and director of this movie while Anirudh is the music composer. 'Leo' is getting released in multiple languages on October 19th.
