A small mistake can create a big ripple, and Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra found itself in one just hours before release. The Malayalam superhero film, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Neslan, hits theaters today, with the Telugu version, Kotha Lokah, set for tomorrow. Fans were excited after seeing promotions claiming an IMAX release.

The excitement turned to confusion when Preetham Daniel, Vice President of IMAX Corporation (India), clarified on X that the film would not be released in IMAX anywhere. Following this, producer Dulquer Salman and his team immediately removed the poster. Fans expecting a premium experience expressed disappointment online.

This isn’t the first time such confusion has happened. A few years ago, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie faced a similar issue when it was promoted as an IMAX release without official approval. The incident shows that audiences notice such details and that misleading promotions can backfire.

The Lokah controversy is a reminder that marketing matters as much as the movie itself. While the film promises superhero thrills, the IMAX misstep shows the importance of clear communication with audiences. Fans are now eager to see the film but hope the excitement matches reality.
