Star Director to Debut as Hero in His Next Film

Lokesh Kanagaraj who is one of the most sought after directors in South India today, is gearing up to make his debut as a lead actor. Known for his directorial skills in hit films like Kaithi, Master and Vikram, Lokesh has gained massive fame for his gripping storytelling and intense cinematic style. His previous film Leo didn't live up to expectations but his popularity remains undiminished.

Now, he is set to enter the world of acting, and his fans are eagerly waiting. Arun Matheswaran, the director of Captain Miller and Saani Kaayidham will be introducing Lokesh as the lead actor in an upcoming gangster film. This film is expected to showcase Lokesh in a role that is intense and action-packed, reflecting the director's expertise in creating gripping narratives.

Lokesh shared in an interview that he has already started preparing for the role. He has been focusing on fitness by losing weight and gaining muscle. Additionally, he has grown a beard to match the character he will portray. Lokesh also confirmed that the script for Kaithi-2 is already ready, and despite his busy schedule as a director, he plans to complete his acting project first.

Interestingly, Lokesh has previously appeared in a music video with Shruti Haasan for the song Inimel. His performance and screen presence in the video received positive feedback, further boosting his confidence as an actor.

His film Kooli, where he plays the lead role, is set to release on August 14, and it is expected to attract a lot of attention from both his fans and moviegoers alike.
