Lokesh Kanagaraj Reveals Why He Rejected Parashakti Villain Role

Lokesh Kanagaraj is preparing for the release of his new film Coolie, with Rajinikanth in the lead. The cast also includes Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra. The film releases on August 14, and Lokesh is actively promoting it.

In a recent interview, Lokesh said he was once offered the villain role in Parashakti, a film starring Sivakarthikeyan. He decided to turn it down.

He explained that directing is his main priority. Playing a full‑length villain would have taken too much time away from his film projects.

Lokesh said he may act in the future if the role and timing work, but for now his focus is entirely on Coolie.
