Are People Underestimating Lokesh Kanagaraj?

On the coming August 7th, talented star director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut film as a leading man is hitting cinemas. But surprisingly, many of the film critics and movie lovers active on social media are commenting that only composer Anirudh should save this film. And that is actually hurting the true fans of this talented director, who is now making his acting debut with “DC”, which is hitting cinemas in a couple of weeks.

Why would only Anirudh become the saviour of the film when it has a super talented Lokesh Kanagaraj in the main lead? Though his acting talents are yet to be proved, being such a huge director who carved out films like Khaidi, Vikram, Leo and Coolie, surely Lokesh knows what’s working in the movie and what’s not. Except that he’s the hero of the movie, surely he would have supervised all other aspects too.

So, why is he not getting any attention from DC and how far it is right saying that Anirudh is the literal hero of the movie? Even if Anirudh’s music is great, films like Agnyaathavasi didn’t click in Telugu and many more in Tamil. Only if the content is good does a film click, and Lokesh Kanagaraj is the one who created content that worked at the box office. So let’s not underestimate the director who is making his acting debut.
