Fee Hike Fallout: Naga Vamsi Hits Reset On Mad Sequel

One of the most worked-out franchise films in Telugu at the moment is Mad and Mad Square, which are both produced by Sithara Entertainment’s Naga Vamsi. While many are expecting to see Mad Cube in theatres very soon, which director Kalyan Shankar also confirmed, here comes the mega twist.

Reports are doing rounds from some time that the much anticipated Mad Cube, sequel to the Mad series, starring Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shoban, Ram Nithin, and Sri Gouri Priya has been shelved. Instead, Naga Vamsi is producing a Mad franchise film titled “Mad Juniors” with a fresh cast, while Kalyan Shankar will be handling the direction as usual.

Though Naga Vamsi hasn’t explained much why they opted for this new casting and new movie, it’s coming out that the original actors of Mad 1 and Mad 2 are demanding a bomb as their paycheck. With no way to make the film out after paying exorbitant fees to these actors, Naga Vamsi and his team have quickly decided to reboot the sequel with newcomers, as he knows that it’s the director who actually delivers the needful.

Industry insiders are seeing this spin-off kind of film as a cost-effective gamble, and it might pay off for Naga Vamsi very well at the Box office.
