Tamil actor Vishal, who is known for hit movies like Naan Sigappu Manithan, Poojai, and many more in Tamil, and his dubbed movies also got him a good image in Telugu as well. Right now, he is in a tough spot. The actor-producer is now stuck in a messy financial fight. Years ago, his banner Vishal Film Factory took a huge loan, and when things didn’t go as planned, Lyca Productions stepped in and cleared around Rs 21 crore for him. In return, Vishal had agreed to give them the distribution rights of his upcoming films. But that deal didn’t exactly go smoothly.

Trouble started when Vishal released Vagai Soodum on his own, ignoring the agreement. Lyca wasn’t having it, so they moved to court saying the deal was broken and demanded their money back, with a pretty shocking 30% interest added on top. After months of hearings, the single bench delivered its verdict and asked Vishal to pay Rs 21.30 crore plus interest.

That hit him harder than any stunt fall. Vishal’s team immediately appealed, and his lawyers even told the court, “He’s not a rich man… he can’t pay such a huge amount in one go.” The bench then tossed a sharp question, “Is Vishal ready to declare bankruptcy?”, which stirred up quite a buzz inside the courtroom.

For now, the earlier verdict has been paused, but there’s a catch. The court has asked Vishal to deposit Rs 10 crore right away. Until the full loan is cleared, films from his production house can’t be released in theatres or on OTT platforms. That basically puts Vishal Film Factory on freeze mode. On top of that, there’s gossip in Kollywood that his recent engagement to actress Sai Dhanshika might face delays because of all this chaos.
