Renowned actor Vijay Sethupathi is set to celebrate a significant milestone with his 50th film, "Maharaja," which will be released in both Tamil and Telugu on June 14th. The film is directed by Nithilan Saminathan and produced by Sudhan Sundaram under Passion Studios and Jagadish Palanisamy's The Route. The Telugu version will be distributed by NVR Cinemas. Anurag Kashyap also plays a key role in the film.

Recently, the makers released a new trailer for the film. The trailer opens with Sethupathi’s character, a barber named Maharaja, in a police station, lamenting the loss of someone named Lakshmi. He attempts to bribe the officer to have the case handed over to the CBI. The trailer then cuts to glimpses of Anurag Kashyap, who appears to play a ruthless outlaw. Sethupathi's intense salt-and-pepper look and Kashyap's menacing presence promise a gripping narrative.

"Maharaja" seems to stand out as a unique action film with an intriguing plot. The cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman is visually striking, and B Ajaneesh Loknath’s background score adds depth to the scenes. Philomin Raj's editing ties the elements together seamlessly.

The film features a diverse cast, including Mamta Mohandas, Bharathiraja, Natarajan Subramaniam, Singampuli, and Kalki, among others. This ensemble adds richness to the story, with each actor bringing their character to life.
