Every journey in cinema is like a river that changes course over time, and Malavika Mohanan’s career is following a thoughtful path. The daughter of top cinematographer K. U. Mohanan has melted hearts with her candid confession about her choices in films. From her debut to recent projects, she says her priorities as an actress have shifted, reflecting a desire to leave a lasting impression rather than just chase quick fame.

Recently, Malavika greeted audiences with Hrudaya Poorvam and is now gearing up for Rajasaab with Superstar Prabhas and Sardaar 2 with Karthi. In a recent interview, she opened up about her evolving mindset. “When someone first enters the film industry, they want to work with star heroes and directors and rise quickly in their career. But over time, things change. That was the case for me in the early days. But now I want to be a heroine who is remembered in the hearts of the audience only with her roles,” she said.

She emphasized that meaningful roles matter more than big banners. “If a role isn’t strong, even being in a big film won’t leave an impression. It’s better to create a special place with powerful stories, even if it takes time to get opportunities,” she added. Her words show a focus on long-term impact over short-term visibility.

Malavika also expressed interest in Bollywood projects. “I want to work on exciting projects in Bollywood too,” she said. With talent, focus, and a clear vision, she is carving a path that balances star hero films with roles that leave a lasting impression on audiences.
