Malavika Mohanan, who’s juggling The Raja Saab shoot these days, quietly slipped off to Tadoba and dropped a bunch of photos that feel like they came straight out of someone’s personal travel notebook. Just her, the forest, and that chilled vibe she carries around without trying too hard.
One of the photos is this calm riverside setup. A couple of empty chairs, an umbrella doing its best in the sun, and water that looks too still to be real. She said this is her favourite place in India to spot tigers, and honestly, even if a tiger didn’t show up, the spot itself is enough.
Then there’s her dad, cinematographer K. U. Mohanan, walking through a bamboo stretch with a giant lens swinging from his bag. It’s not staged or anything, just a simple, sweet moment. Almost like she’s following him the way she probably did as a kid, only now both are carrying cameras and stories.
And that last picture, a safari jeep waiting under the trees, sunlight slicing through the branches. She captioned it “Uff,” which is exactly the sound you make when a place hits you harder than you expected. She even joked that this forest has spoiled other safaris for her. Honestly, from the look of the photos, she might be right.
