For a long time, now, film fraternity has been interlinked with political arena. We often see making cryptic and often even direct comments on the film industry and the people associated with the same. Now it is the turn of Telangana’s firebrand MLA Malla Reddy to express his opinion on the current hierarchy in Tollywood.
In a brief chitchat with the Media, the BRS MLA said it is Allu Arjun, who is at the top of the food chain in the Telugu film industry in the contemporary era. He said Allu Arjun has replaced Chiranjeevi as the number one star of Tollywood, and this is a hard fact, whether people like it or not.
Malla Reddy said Chiranjeevi had dominated the film industry over the years by standing in the number one position with his unrelenting, hard work and dedication. Now it is Allu Arjun, who is at the top of the race and is the designated candidate for the number one position in Tollywood.
Malla Reddy said Allu Arjun is a huge deal across India now as he generated ₹1800 crore revenue through his recent film, Pushpa 2. The fact that the MLA was so factually correct about the box office, his numbers and also his assessment of the top race in Tollywood says that he has been following things very closely.
Usually, we see people associated with the film industry, drawing such comparisons. But this time it is the turn of BRS MLA and firebrand politician Malla Reddy to make this assessment. Needless to say Malla Reddy is very close to the film industry as multiple film events generally happen at the Malla Reddy College in Hyderabad.
