Senior BRS Leader Malla Reddy is a name that needs no introduction. The Cabinet Minister enjoys a big popularity and he tends to make statements that land him in controversies. Living up to the image he kickstarted another controversy with his unexpected comments at a big stage.

Minister of Labour and Employment Malla Reddy attended the Animal pre-release event in Hyderabad. The stage saw big names like Mahesh Babu and filmmaker SS Rajamouli as the chief guests. Addressing the gathering Malla Reddy made some key comments that raised many eyeballs.

Malla Reddy said Telugu people are smart and will rule India, Bollywood and Hollywood. Addressing Ranbir he said he should also move to Hyderabad as Bombay became old and Bengaluru is full of traffic.

He went on to say that Telugu people are so smart and they will rule India and Bollywood a few years from now. Malla Reddy cited the example of Rajamouli and Dil Rajuy to highlight how smart Telugu people are. His speech went viral and created a controversy. Citing films like Pushpa Malla Reddy they all created a sensation.

“Ranbir Ji, I want to tell you something. In the next five years, Telugu people will rule over India, Bollywood, and Hollywood. You will also have to move to Hyderabad next year. Why? Because Mumbai is old now and Bengaluru has traffic jams. Hyderabad is the only city in India,” Malla Reddy said in Hindi.

What the Minister said did not go well with people living in the northern states. Taking to social media they are asking if this is how a star is treated at his film event. Few others said there is nothing wrong in branding their city but it can be done without targeting other cities.
