Actually, the actress first got attention because her name sounds unique, as there is no other actress named ‘Mamitha’ in the industry. However, the actress was named ‘Namitha’ during her birth, and later when she was enrolled in the school, the teacher wrote her name wrongly as ’Mamitha’. While her parents found that mistake much later, by that time the Government records already carried the name Mamitha, and hence she continued with that.

However, many are wondering why the 100% literacy rate state Kerala still has teachers who misspell the names of their students, and then the parents who couldn’t notice the mistake for years.
