Dil Raju's speech at the success meet of 'Mangalavaaram' on Saturday had a prominent theme. He held that the rustic thriller's collections have been on the rise since the morning shows of Friday. On Day 2's morning and noon shows, the collections in Nizam, for example, were more than what the movie made on Day 1.

"The makers were interested in holding paid premieres. I offered to watch a special screening on Wednesday. After the movie was over, I endorsed the idea of advanced screenings," he said, adding that two masterpieces (read 'Anveshana' and 'Arundhati') came to his mind while he watched the Ajay Bhupathi-directed movie.

More importantly, Dil Raju mentioned three recent blockbusters in the context of talking about Mangalavaaram's unstoppable run: 'Baby', 'Balagam' and 'Samajavaragamana'.

Director Ajay looked extremely delighted with the response. "The trailer for our movie became a big hit. As it is a heroine-centric and character-based movie, I thought the audience would be slow to take to the movie. But the response from them has been robust right from the start," he implied. Ajay indicated that he likes to do unconventional movies, appreciating the audience for warming up to experiments such as RGV's 'Siva', 'Sankarabharanam' and Sukumar's 'Arya' in the past. Incidentally, Ajay is an RGV disciple.

Producer Swathi Reddy Gunupati of Mudhra Media Works thanked the audience, Nizam distributor Dil Raju and the film's entire team. Payal Rajput, who plays a suspenseful role in the movie, thanked her director for giving her two hits - 'RX 100' and the latest BO release.
