It is known that the chief minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy has been holding the miss world competition in Hyderabad in a very prestigious manner. A lot of financial resources and efforts are being spent on this mega program, which has grabbed the attention all over.

However, there is this one detrimental incident involving Miss England which has become a topic of concern on social media.

Milla Magee, the reigning Miss England, has withdrawn from the Miss World 2025 pageant, becoming the first titleholder to do so in the competition’s 74-year history. The 24-year-old lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall, cited feelings of exploitation and moral conflict as reasons for her abrupt departure.

Magee revealed that during her time in Hyderabad, she felt objectified and pressured to entertain wealthy male sponsors, likening the experience to feeling “like a prostitute.”

She criticized the pageant for being outdated and valuing appearance over substance, despite its “beauty with a purpose” slogan. Contestants were reportedly expected to wear makeup and ball gowns at all times, even during breakfast, and were assigned to tables with male sponsors for evening events.

Her decision to leave was initially attributed to “personal reasons,” but in an exclusive interview, she exposed the superficial treatment and lack of respect toward contestants.
