Geetha Film Distributors, the prestigious banner behind Telugu blockbusters such as Kantara, Chhaava, and Mahavatar Narasimha is set to release the much-awaited epic Vrusshabha, starring the complete actor Mohanlal. Written and directed by Nanda Kishore, the film is presented by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms Ltd in association with Abishek S Vyas Studios, and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, C.K. Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abishek S Vyas, Praveer Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta.
The theatrical trailer, unveiled today, offers a powerful glimpse into the film’s expansive narrative. It opens with Mohanlal’s character haunted by recurring, violent dreams filled with bloodshed and war, immediately setting a dark and intense tone. As the visuals unfold, the film reveals that Mohanlal was once a mighty king named Vijayendra Vrusshabha in a previous life, and that an ancient enemy is once again closing in on his lineage.
The trailer skillfully blends elements of mythology, destiny, and reincarnation, suggesting that unfinished battles transcend time itself. As the trailer progresses, the emotional core of Vrusshabha comes into sharp focus, unbreakable bond between a father and son. While enemies thirst for vengeance across generations, the son is portrayed as fiercely loyal and ready to sacrifice everything to protect his father. The narrative spans two timelines, seamlessly transitioning from the grandeur of a historic kingdom to the intensity of the modern world.
Packed with large-scale action, striking visuals, and emotional depth, the trailer promises an epic cinematic experience. Starring Mohanlal alongside Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay, Garuda Ram, and Kishore, Vrusshabha features music by Sam CS, sound design by Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty, and adrenaline-pumping action choreography by Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, and Nikhil.
Vrusshabha is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on December 25, 2025. GFD Releasing the film grandly in Telugu.
