Mohanlal Becomes Lieutenant Colonel To Help People!

Legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal has decided to step on the field and help the victims who were affected by the recent landslides in the Wayanad area. Being a lieutenant colonel, Mohanlal put on the army officer's uniform and entered the field. He was welcomed by the army and he will be working with them on the ground.

He will soon be visiting Mundakkai which is the region that was hit hardest by the landslides. He will be offering support and asses the situation directly. He released a statement saying, “Despite facing challenges, we have always come out stronger. Let's stay united and show our strength during this difficult time. Jaihind.”

Apart from being on the ground and helping people, the Complete Actor donated Rs 25 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund as well. He commended the work of 122 Infantry Battalion TA Madras for their incredible job till now.

Malayalam star Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salman donated 20 lakhs and 15 lakhs respectively. Other actors like Tovino, Asif Ali, Manju Warrier, Nayanthara, Navya Nair, Fahad Fazil, Nazriya, Pearle Maaney, and Sreenish have made contributions too. Suriya and Jyothika gave 50 lakhs while Kamal Haasan and Vikram contributed 20 lakhs each. Rashmika Mandanna donated too.
