In a recent development, major multiplex chains PVR Inox have introduced a high-end cinema complex with six screens at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai's Jio World Center. This luxurious venue boasts 790 seats and lavish interiors, aiming to provide an upscale movie experience in the country.

Among its unique features is an IMAX screen with cutting-edge laser technology, a first-of-its-kind in India. What sets this multiplex apart is the inclusion of a bar and lounge, offering specially crafted cocktails by renowned mixologist Shantanu Chanda, along with an exclusive menu curated by celebrity chefs like Sarah Todd, Vicky Ratnani, Yutaka Saito, and Mayank Tiwari.

Moreover, patrons can enjoy live cooking counters, allowing them to customize their meals while watching the movie. However, the cost of this luxurious experience is substantially high, with food prices far exceeding the ticket rates, which themselves are upwards of two thousand rupees.

While the addition of such amenities may appeal to premier audiences, it poses a financial challenge for the average moviegoer. Despite movie enthusiasts in Hyderabad expressing interest in a similar setup, the pricing policy makes it unlikely for such a concept to materialize there anytime soon.
