In 2024, the Tollywood industry is gearing up for a barrage of sequels, generating immense excitement among fans, audiences, and trade circles alike. The lineup includes high-profile releases such as Allu Arjun and Sukumar's highly anticipated "Pushpa 2," set to hit screens during the Independence weekend,

while Kamal Haasan and Shankar's sequel to their blockbuster "Indian 2" is now slated for an August or September release, shifting from its initial summer plans. Among the much-awaited sequels is Rishab Shetty's mystical drama "Kantara," with its prequel, expected to drop in December 2024 or early 2025.

Nara Rohith's "Prathinidi," a standout film in his career, is eyeing a sequel release on Republic weekend, helmed by director TV5 Murthy. Additionally, RGV's "Vyooham" has its first part scheduled for a December 29th release, while the second part is in the works for the Republic weekend in the following year.

Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy's political biopic "Yatra 2" is set for a February 2024 release, following the success of its predecessor at the box office, generating significant interest among Andhra Pradesh's political circles.

Other sequels like Siddhu Jonnalagadda's "Tillu Square," Ram Pothineni's "Double Ismart," and Adivi Sesh's "Goodachari Sequel" are also slated for release. "Matthu Vadalara," a previously successful small film, will have a sequel, an anticipated post-summer release in 2024. With a lineup that includes major titles like "Pushpa 2," "Indian 2," "Kantara 2," and a total of 10 sequels, the Telugu film industry is set for an eventful and sequel-packed year ahead.
