Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and director Harish Shankar have earlier collaborated for the films Shock and Mirapakai. For the third time, the duo have come forward for the film Mr Bachchan, the remake of the Hindi hit film Raid. Ajay Devgn played the lead role in the film. Meanwhile, the film Mr Bachchan opened to a mixed response from everyone.
Many critics pointed out that the film had too many Hindi songs and most of them are unfamiliar to the regular audiences in the Telugu states. They also felt that it had ruined the flow of the film and the pace is very slow.
The team considered all the feedback and decided to trim down the scenes involving the Hindi songs. Confirming the same, Harish Shankar took to X and mentioned that they had accepted constructive criticism.
"Considering the “constructive criticism “ reduced few hindi songs and trimmed to increase the pace of #MrBachchan. Updated prints will start playing from tonight. I my self will be watching in Brand New Vimal theatre to night… see you there " tweeted Harish Shankar on his Twitter profile.
Altogether, the duration will undergo a reduction of up to 10-12 minutes.
